The annual Bernina/Embroidery Club Christmas Party featured creating

table top lamps ...

and of course great food and

fellowship with friends!

Almost 80 ladies used the BERNINA

circular embroidery attachment to create

a base doily while stitching and turning the

lamp shade to create a table top candle holder

for a festive, holiday tablescape, along with

yummy food and visiting with old friends.

Bernina and Embroidery Club participants attending the annual Christmas party stopped by the refreshment table to sample almost any kind of party food and drink you could want.  Notice the pretty
table top candle lamps.  Everyone who attended the party made
their own lamp shade and doily base as their 'thank you' gift from Karen for being loyal French Seam customers.

Karen thanked each lady for their continued business at the
French Seam during 2013, showed the newest projects located around the room, and explained the Make-It-Take-It gift.

Mary Ann helped the ladies position the base fabric onto the circular embroidery attachment.  Minimal sewing was needed as the sewing machine and circular attachment did all of the work.

Using the Quiltsmart fusible, printed panel, Stacie showed how to sew the printed lamp shade pattern onto the fabric.

After turning and pressing, this created a lamp shade with body to sit atop a wine glass, insert a flameless candle, set the glass onto the embroidered doily, and enjoy during the holidays.

Sherry (center) trims the
excess panel and fabric from
the lamp shade before turning
and pressing while Neva (left)
and Pat enjoy snacks while
waiting their turns to trim.

"Under Construction" play mat will keep youngsters busy for hours while you only need two hours to construct the mat - yes, that simple and quick!

Kit comes complete with everything needed to construct the mat, except
for one yard of fusible fleece.

Kit - $26.98

"Family Tree" panel and coordinating fabric make a memorable fabric family tree
wall hanging.

Use TAP (Transfer Artist Paper)
to transfer family names to the birds found on the panel.

A very clever way to
share your family tree.

"SoHo Chic" fabric stitches
into a stunning wall hanging.

Using 4 1/2" triangles and fusible applique, this wall hanging gives a sampling of the modern, beautiful colors found in the fabric collection.

"SoHo Chic" fabric also
makes a complimentary
table runner using the
same 4 1/2" triangles.

"Holiday Friends" fabric makes
fun holiday pajamas that kids
(and adults alike) will enjoy wearing.

The holiday scene features dogs ....

.... and "Holiday Friends" cats.
